Wellness Examination

Our wellness exams involve an extensive head-to-tail examination covering any and all health and behavioural issues affecting your pet.

Vaccinations

We offer a vaccine protocol that includes core vaccines as well as a specialized program for the individual and/or aging pet.

Soft Tissue & Orthopedic Surgery

Our surgery services range from ovariohysterectomies (spay) and orchidectomies (neuter) to more complex orthopedic surgery.

Dentistry

Our dental services involve preventative and curative care. Educating pet owners how to brush their pet’s teeth or feed a veterinary dental diet to help reduce the formation of plaque and tartar can help prevent dental disease. If dental disease is already present we can perform teeth cleaning, polishing, extractions and oral surgery. We even have in-house digital dental radiology!

Parasite Prevention

We follow the guidelines of the Companion Animal Parasite Council (CAPCvet.org) and that states year-round treatment for internal parasites. We recommend a monthly oral treatment with a dewormer to satisfy this protocol.

Flea Prevention

In the Fraser Valley we are known as the “flea capital of Canada”. This is because our environment is perfect for reproduction and growth of fleas with just the right amount of heat and humidity. Fleas are not just a spring and summer event either! It is very common for us to see fleas in the fall and winter months too, so that is why we recommend year-round, monthly treatment for these pesky ectoparasites!

In-House & Reference Laboratory Services

Our laboratory is an extensive system supported by both our in-house facilities, used for basic blood and urine tests, and our reference laboratory (Idexx Reference Labs); used extensively for clinical pathology, bacteriology, histopathology, parasitology, virology, immunology and toxicology.

Pharmaceuticals

We offer a full service of pharmaceuticals that are carefully chosen for your pet’s needs. If there is a product you are interested in that we don’t carry, we can special order it in for you. If you are having difficulties administering a medication to your pet, we can have a compounding pharmacy formulate the medication into a variety of different ways to help you.

Dietary Counselling

Our well trained veterinary team can help you choose a diet that best suits your pet’s needs whether it be a weight loss program, joint health, kidney disease, diabetes or food allergies.

Electrocardiography

Dermatology

Because of our unique setting in the Fraser Valley, allergic skin issues are common. We are fully equipped to work through these sometimes very frustrating cases and have referral services to Board Certified Dermatologists.

Microchip Implantation

Our microchip program is used to identify your pet in case they are lost or stolen. The program is North American wide and is most effective for pet owners who travel outside of B.C.

Emergency Services

We refer all of our after-hours emergency cases to the Animal Emergency Clinic of the Fraser Valley. They are a fully equipped team of Veterinarians, Veterinary Technicians and Assistants specifically trained to deal with emergency cases. They are not unlike a regular human ER hospital! Please see the tab on our main page for contact information and directions to this great facility.

Pet Insurance

Highly recommended! There are many options to choose from, and even though we do not “sell” insurance, we can help you make a decision on what the best health insurance plan is for your pet.
